Tamburitza Orchestra with Vocals

Bonaca (Croatian for “calm seas”) is a multi-piece tamburica orchestra which performs music from Croatia, Central & Southeast Europe, and beyond. Bonaca Seattle started making music in 2010 when its founding members wanted to create a group that could play like a great tamburica band but also sing like a traditional Dalmatian klapa. Bonaca’s repertoire includes both traditional and modern songs from Croatia and its surrounding countries, as well as some American classics.

Klapa Doo Wopella

Men's Klapa

KlapaDooWopella specializes in traditional Croatian "Klapa" singing. Klapa singers are a cappella minstrels that hang out on boat docks and street corners along the Adriatic coast of Croatia. KlapaDooWopella was formed in 1979 in Seattle. The name "KlapaDooWopella" comes from the "klapa" music of the Dalmatian Coast, "DooWop" music from the streets of America, and all sung in "acapella" style. Thus, KlapaDooWopella.

Traditional Croatian Tambura Music With Vocals

Kišobran (umbrella), formed in 2011 is mostly made up of almuni of the Seattle Jr. Tamburitizans and is dedicated to preserving the traditioanal music and songs of Croatia.

Traditional Dances of Croatia

Radost - "Joy" in all the Slavic languages - has presented on stage the dance, music and song of Eastern Europe throughout the Pacific Northwest since 1976. The Radost Folk Ensemble brings color, energy and the precision of ethnic culture to the concert stage.

Sinovi

Tamburira Orchestra with Vocals

Sinovi Tamburitza Orchestra formed in the fall of 1980, perform traditional tamburitza music of Croatia and beyond. The group was born out of the Seattle Jr. Tamburitzans for which it served as the music combo. The group has performed extensively in the Pacific Northwest and California and nationally regularly participating in Tamburitza Extravaganzas since 1981.

Tamburaški Orkestar Kardinal Stepinac

Traditional Croatian Music and Dance

Tamburica Orchestra Kardinal Stepinac (TOKS) was founded with the objective of gathering Croatian girls and boys and teaching them how to play the beautiful Croatian instrument "tamburica". By performing various folklore choreographies, accompanied by tamburica, the rich Croatian culture and traditions are preserved and passed on to younger generations.

Vela Luka Croatian Dance Ensemble and Ruze Dalmatinke

Traditional Croatian Dance and Vocals

Vela Luka Croatian Dance Ensemble boasts 29 singers and dancers spanning four generations. It is based in Anacortes in the Puget Sound area but maintains close ties with family members remaining in Croatia.  Ruze Dalmatinke Specializies in the music of Croatia.  This group was founded by an immigrant family with deep passion and intense devotion to their musical and cultural heritage. Their versatile repertoire reflects decades of research and training including many musical styles of the interior of Croatia.

For over 20 years, this beloved Croatian American band has brought their unforgettable performances to major festivals, weddings, and private events across the U.S. and Canada.  From kolo and Dalmatian waltzes to polkas and modern pop, Zrinski seamlessly transitions from traditional Croatian melodies to modern rhythms, delivering a dynamic performance that delights every audience.
