Support CroatiaFestWelcome to CroatiaFest 2009 “Croatian Women – Tradition Bearers”, honoring the women who came to America with their families to begin a new life in a new country. This festival will reflect the impact of Croatian women and their cultural heritage in our communities and beyond. On the main floor visit the exhibits of Pacific Northwest Croatian American Communities, historical displays of how Croatian women came to America, and a new attraction, Authors Corner, featuring local authors. Stop at the Croatia Today booth and pick up a brochure on travel to Croatia. Browse through the Art Gallery on the third floor of Seattle Center House featuring local Croatian women artists, costumes, and fine art photography by an anthropologist who lived in a Croatian Village with a family for one year. Sit in on one of the lectures or seminars. Enjoy the naturalization ceremony, fashion show, Croatian food and of course the performances of Croatian folk song and dance.
